Velvet pouffe

Our velvet pouffes are made of, you’ve probably guessed it, velvet fabric. Velvet is a soft fabric made of cotton or silk that is woven into raised loops. These loops are cut, creating very tiny hairs. This makes the fabric feel soft and look luxurious. A velvet footstool gives a warm atmosphere to your interior. Our collection of velvet pouffes consists of various colours. From light natural colours like beige and grey to deep colours like purple and blue. There is always one that matches your living room, bedroom or kids’ room.

Velvet pouffes in your interior

Our velvet pouffes can be used in several ways. You can use it as a footstool, but also as a side table or for styling. Use the pouffe as you like! The best thing about the velvet footstool is that it can be perfectly combined with other velvet items, such as a sofa or cushions. But, this pouffe is also perfect ‘on its own’ to create warmth in your interior because of the soft fabric. The footstool combines beautifully with other fabrics, but also with other natural materials such as wood or glass.

Care of your velvet footstool

Our velvet pouffes will last a long time because of the wear-resistance of the fabric. But, to keep your pouffe beautiful as long as possible, we have a few tips:

• Do not place your pouf in full sunlight. This may cause it to discolour over time.
• Regularly rub the hairs of the velvet fabric in opposite directions so the hairs are not flattened. You can do this by vacuuming the footstool. This helps to make it dust-free at the same time ;).
• Make sure the footstool is placed in a dry place to preserve its colour.
• Avoid sharp objects on the footstool to prevent damage.

Did your footstool get stained? It can be cleaned with a slightly damp cloth.

All our velvet pouffes are handmade in Morocco by a cooperative of local Moroccan craftsmen. We have enjoyed fine cooperation with these artisans for several years.
