The (checkered) black and white style of the Beni Ouarain cushions are increasingly seen in modern, Scandinavian or bohemian interiors. They fit in every interior! The name Beni Ouarain comes from the Berber village of ‘Beni Ouarain’ in the Mid-Atlas mountains, where these cushions originated. • Made from wool and cotton.
• The cushion comes without an inner cushion. We believe that you can fill the cushion in a ‘green’ way with for example a cushion that you already have but don’t use anymore or with old clothes. Would you like to have it filled anyway? Send us a message and we will arrange it for you!
• We recommend hand washing the pillow. The washing machine will make it clean, but not always better 😉

Handmade Beni Ouarain Cushions

Originally, Beni Ourain cushions were made from vintage Beni Ourain rugs, which you can often recognise by their black diamond pattern on a white background. Nowadays, our cooperative knots the carpets itself to ensure that the colour of the cushions does not become too yellowish. Did you know that one cushion can consist of thousands of knots? This is what gives your cushion its original story and makes it unique. The cushions are made by craftsmen in Morocco with a mix of love, wool, cotton and years of experience. Genuine craftsmanship!

In cooperation with our cooperative in Marrakesh, we produce the most beautiful creations. We continue to invest in the personal development of the craftsmen. We are proud to guarantee that every purchase goes to the maker of your beautiful cushion. This is extremely important and the only way to keep this traditional craft alive.
